LIMITED EDITION
The aesthetics of the limited edition Kozō chronograph and its packaging is deeply inspired by Japanese culture and our brand’s history working with denim goods.
The triple colored dial features a deep indigo blue surrounded by an off-white chapter ring with red markings and lume dots for each hour. The sub-registers at 3 and 9 are off-white and the red 6 o’clock running seconds dial resembles the Japanese national flag. The index and lumed hour and minute hands are brushed steel, sub-register hands are dark blue and the chronograph hand is bright red. The case is made of brushed 316l stainless steel and features a tachymeter scale on the fixed bezel.
The Kozō chronograph is sold exclusively on our indigo blue canvas strap that we developed using recycled ocean plastics and apple pomace discarded by the Italian beverage industry. We believe that these materials perfectly complement the watch and its nature in the best of ways.

Once upon a time in ancient Japan, there lived a legendary figure called Nezumi Kozō ( real name Nakamura Jirokichi ). With his mischievous grin and cunning wit, he enchanted both the authorities and the common folk alike. Nezumi’s story is one of stealth, rebellion, and above all, a playful spirit that challenged the norms of society.
Born into poverty, Nezumi Kozō grew up during the Edo period, where survival demanded resourcefulness. From a young age, he showcased extraordinary talent in nimble acrobatics and sleight of hand. His remarkable agility earned him the moniker “Nezumi” ( meaning rat/mouse in Japanese ), a nod to his ability to scurry away like a rat when danger approached. As Nezumi’s fame grew, so did his reputation as a master thief. Yet, this notorious thief had an unexpected twist. He refused to steal from the poor or innocent townsfolk, believing in the power of redistributing wealth amidst a world filled with inequality, a Japanese Robin Hood if you will. Nezumi’s audacious acts of thievery challenged the established order and brought delight to the downtrodden.
One fateful evening, Nezumi found himself in the opulent residence of Lord Masamune, a symbol of greed and cruelty. Inside, among the treasures amassed through years of oppression, Nezumi made a life-changing encounter. A young girl named Sakura, the daughter of Lord Masamune, saw beyond his reputation and recognized his noble intentions. Together, Sakura and Nezumi formed an extraordinary alliance. Their shared desire for justice ignited a plan to expose Lord Masamune’s corruption and liberate the people from tyranny. With Nezumi’s unmatched network of informants and Sakura’s insider knowledge, their scheme succeeded, bringing hope and freedom to the oppressed masses.
Nezumi’s legend spread far and wide, inspiring generations to question authority, challenge the status quo, and fight for justice. Though he disappeared into the shadows, the people whispered tales of his daring escapades, audacious tricks, and righteous acts of thievery. Nezumi Kozō became a timeless symbol of resilience and the belief that even the humblest among us can make a difference.
Just like the legendary Nezumi Kozō, we strive to impact on the world as best as we can. Inspired by his mission to give back, our commitment to making a positive change is woven into the very fabric of our brand. We support numerous wildlife preservation organizations, animal rescue efforts, and sanctuaries worldwide and that is the story behind why our brand is called Nezumi.
